The internationally renowned Newark Boys Chorus School, located in the heart of Newark, New Jersey, is celebrating 47 years of excellence in academics and music. Educating young men in 4th through 8th grades from the Greater Newark community since 1969, NBCS has graduated nearly 600 students. Upon graduation from NBCS, many attend prep schools in the tri-state area, often on generous scholarships preparing them for college. Alumni of the school come back to tell of their success in careers as lawyers, corporate vice presidents, school administrators, physicians, teachers, and musicians.
The evening, which was attended by more than 250 guests, raised over $400,000 to support the school.
