Recent crises have exposed the cracks of structural racism in our very foundation – cracks that have erupted into earthquakes in Black and other communities of color.
We see this in the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the horrifying and ongoing incidents of police brutality, which are not isolated events but the result of a damaged foundation weak from cracks of racial injustice.
The cracks in New Jersey run deep, with some of the worst racial disparities in the country.
The downloadable images on this webpage highlight just some of those disparities.
It’s time to repair the harm and build a new foundation through sustained and deliberate systemic reform.
To help do that, take action at our Action Center.
