We seek to transform New Jersey's youth incarceration system into a community-based system of care and close the State's three youth prisons.

The Institute and 100 groups wrote to Gov. Murphy and legislative leaders urging them to pass a bill to establish restorative justice programs to help youth stay out of the youth justice system and to support them when they are released.

New Jersey’s incarcerated youth are at risk during the COVID19 virus pandemic. The Institute asked Governor Murphy to protect them.

Almost 130 organizations have signed a letter to Gov. Murphy and other elected officials calling for transformative youth justice. Contact us if you want to add your organization!
