Drivers’ License Restoration

 

The Institute conducted research on the widespread use of drivers’ license suspension as a sanction in non-driving related contexts and its effect on access to employment for low-income New Jerseyans. This effort led to the development of license restoration training materials for employment specialists and a court-based program to consolidate fines and provide provisional licenses for Essex County residents.
