Albert directs the Institutes workforce development division and is responsible for WomenBuild and Brownfields training programs, helping individuals obtain full-time employment and comprehensive case management. He also oversaw the Newark/Essex Construction Careers Consortium, placing over 400 graduates in 17 different trades. Prior to joining the Institute, Albert was an Apprenticeship Training Coordinator with the District of Columbia's Department of Employment Services, the Office of Apprenticeship, Information and Training. In this capacity, he was responsible for the development and management of pre-apprenticeship program, as well as liaison between state agencies, unions, community organizations, institutions and the private sector on matters of apprenticeship and training.
