Zulima V. Farber Zulima V. Farber has more than 30 years of trial and appellate experience, concentrating in commercial litigation, administrative law, employment law and health care litigation. Ms. Farber was recognized as one of the 25 Women of Influence in New Jersey by NJBiz Magazine. In addition, Ms. Farber was recognized as a 2005 New Jersey Super Lawyer in the Civil Litigation Defense section of the publication.

Ms. Farber is currently practicing law at Lowenstein & Sandler, P.C. Ms. Farber has experience in state and federal courts in civil and criminal matters. Her practice includes commercial disputes, employment law matters, internal investigations, physicians' privileges disputes and licensing issues, certificate of need matters, hospital and medical staff governance and attorneys' ethics matters.

Ms. Farber is the first Hispanic woman to have served as a New Jersey cabinet officer. She was New Jersey Public Advocate and Public Defender in former Governor Florio's cabinet, and the Attorney General in Governor Corzine’s cabinet in 2006.

Ms. Farber is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a Visiting Associate of the Eagleton Institute, Rutgers University, and a board member of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice. She has also been a member of the New Jersey State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (1987-2006; Chairperson, 1990-1994), the  New Jersey State Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Ethics (1994 - 2006), the Supreme Court Task Force on Court Interpreters and Translators (1982-1985), the New Jersey State Supreme Court Committee on Criminal Rules, Committee on Evidence Rules, Committee on Character (1986-1992), and a Trustee, Fairleigh Dickinson University (1994 - 2004), an assistant Counsel to the former Governor of New Jersey, Brendan Byrne (1978-1981), an assistant Prosecutor, Bergen County (1975-1978), and chair of the Board of Trustees, Jersey City Medical Center (1982-1992, 1994-1996).
